This intake stuffer is the best bang for the buck. Gain 1-2mph of top end speed upon installation in our Kawasaki SC “Super Chicken”. This product requires to the install to be done with our proven silicone adhesive, any use of another type / brand of silicone voids the warranty. Much like putting your thumb over the end of the garden hose, this pump tunnel stuffer helps maximize the efficiency of the water flowing to the pump in your Kawasaki SC. It’s important to note that while our pump stuffer does work with most intake grates, there is performance loss when paired with a top loader style intake grate. The pump tunnel has proven results with both stock intake grates as well as most traditional scoop style grates for the Kawasaki SC.
Please completely read the instructions before starting. The tips and tricks will help install go easy.
Instructions with the pump removed: (easier install)
Clean the surface with a chemical like brake cleaner or acetone.
Insert the stuffer over the driveshaft
Use some sort of hose to shim the stuffer so the clearance around the driveshaft is even.
Once the stuffer is supported with your DIY tool
We suggest having gloves to keep silicone off your hands, small rags to wipe up the excess.
Apply silicone around the sanded area, you should apply enough that you see squeeze out when installed.
Install and push up against the hull, using your DIY tool hose to perfectly space the stuffer around your driveshaft. Make sure the drive shaft is in place and even use the pump to support the driveshaft.
Wipe excess silicone, the cleaner the install the better acceleration and speed. Use your small rags to clean up and best as possible.
Allow to dry 24hrs. Dry time can vary with temperature and humidity. In Lake Havasu, AZ silicone drys fast.
Once dry remove your tool and assemble all your parts.
Instructions installing with the pump in place:
You will need to order the stuffer with the center cut or you will need to make this cut with a jig saw.
Remove the intake grate
We suggest having gloves to keep silicone off your hands, small rags to wipe up the excess.
Clean the surface with a chemical like brake cleaner or acetone.
Flex the “split” side to snap around the driveshaft
Use some sort of hose to shim the stuffer so the clearance around the driveshaft is even.
Now that you have the set up, we only suggest using our Silicone adhesive. DO your best to get it all the way around the bonding surface, use gloves and small shop rags to get your hand all the way into the back side of the stuffer. Push the stuffer into place to see the silicone squeeze out. with your “tool like hose holder” the stuffer should stay in place while you whip the edges clean.
Once dry check for silicone one more time, remove your  “tool like hose holder” and re install the intake grate.
We suggest a minimum of 24 hr of dry time, areas that are cold and high humidity dry time could take longer.
